I think Logan put the noose in Imani’s locker. According to the text, he threw a french fry in her hair, was always rude to her, and would joke around on the kind of topics that include black people, so this means he is a prankster, and probably doesn’t have a care for black people ,so he probably did it as a joke, but it was really mean and horrible. This is why I think Logan put the noose in Imani’s locker.

The reason why I want to keep reading Blended because it seems like nothing ever works out for her except playing piano. I like books that have a ton of problems, and this one seems like it does. That’s why I want to read this book.

I gave it this because it was kind of boring and I didn’t like it much since it was sad and not interesting.

Ivan

Ivan is my favorite character because I love cats, and Ivan is a cat. Plus, Ivan is also a really good cat. He rarely meows, and when he does meow, it’s for good things, like when they left Coyote and Ivan meowed so they found her quickly.

Favorite Moment

My favorite moment is when Coyote and Rodeo were all alone and Rodeo called her Ella and she called her Daddy and she was crying and sad. Plus, it was a sad moment, but not too sad. This is why this is my favorite moment.

I think Coyote should’ve been arrested. According to the text, she drove a bus without a driver’s license, ran into a construction site while they were working, she lied to a cop, and they were speeding. Plus earlier in the book, she hid from the cops. These are things that should have made her a criminal and in jail, but they got off with a warning. This is why I think Coyote should’ve been arrested.

I think the coyote is really smart and is good under pressure. According to the text, she said, ” No.” when the lady asked her if he was ok, and she also said stuff about the coral reefs dying and so on. There was no way she could have always been ready for that, and it’s pretty smart to think up something like that so quickly. Also, I think later on Coyote will tell someone her real name.

I think Ivan can talk, he just won’t. According to the text, it said that Ivan has never made a sound, but Ivan’s pretty young, and maybe he’s just too nervous to say anything. Plus, maybe he could just be quiet like some cats are, since not all cats constantly meow and meow over and over.

When Washington crossed the Delaware by Lynne Cheney tells the story about how he defeated the British army. George Washington was general of the American army. They crossed the Delaware River and surprised the Hessians, German soldiers, causing the Hessians to surrender. Then they made the British surrender, too. Shortly afterwards, they elected general George Washington as the first president ever.

I gave it this because I liked how it stood up against racism, but the story was written in a way that it was for kids. I also like the way that the main character was a ghost, and that the story would go back to the past to explain things better.

Sarah

My favorite character is Sarah because she believed in what was wrong at first, but as soon as she realized it was wrong, she did her best to correct it, and she made a website so others wouldn’t make bad decisions like hers.

favorite moment

My favorite moment is when Jerome goes into Sarah’s room and finds her working on a project for him, because it shows how much she changed from when he first met her.

I think Sarah is kind but also believes in what is wrong. According to the text, she said” My dad was doing his job” and “My dad protects and serves. That’s what policemen do” earlier in the book, but she doesn’t get mad at her and she could have left him, but she didn’t. Also, all those times she talked to Jerome and Emmet, she doesn’t run away or abandon them, like a bad friend.

I think Carlos is a horrible friend. According to the text, it said Carlos gave Jerome the plastic gun, and then the policeman shot him, thinking it was real. Plus, he scared away bullies with it, so he had to have had another friend to make the gun that way. Because of him, Jerome was killed. That’s being a bad friend when your the reason your friend died.
